Woolwrights' Hook-in

Yesterday was the annual hook-in put on by the Woolwrights Rug Hooking Guild in Lancaster PA.  It is always a great day filled with camaraderie, shopping at the excellent vendors, doing a bit of hooking, and having an all-around fun time.

The Woolwrights gave every participant a beautiful wool flower pin.  Mine is a proddy flower in blue and purple.  Honestly, they matched everyone’s outfit with the perfect flower.  Their attention to detail was evident in the schedule of events on each table, the wonderful rug show, delicious catered lunch and the vast array of vendors.  They also displayed their hooked rugs based on the paintings of Canadian naif artist, Maud Lewis.  My thanks go out to all of those who worked so hard to make it a day to remember.

My hooking group, Magdalena Rug Hookers of Perry County PA, filled up a table and most of us got some hooking done.  Some of us spent time schmoozing and networking.  I handed out business cards with my website address and made some new friends.

There was a lot of beauty in that room yesterday and I enjoyed it all!
