Kris Miller’s excellent new book, Introduction to Rug Hooking: a beginner’s guide to tools, techniques, & materials [copyright 2015 Stackpole Books] made for a lively book giveaway. Thanks to everyone for the comments and enthusiasm!
The names of new rug hookers, wanna-be rug hookers, friends of rug hookers, and experienced rug hookers were written on the back of my unused and out-of-date business cards. Then they went into the dye pot [minus the dye, of course]. The response was truly inspiring!
To make the drawing very official, I had two witnesses helping me. All on the up-and-up!
I’m happy to announce that the lucky winner is Brenda, who commented “always looking to improve my technique… would love this book!”. Congratulations, Brenda. I will contact you for your mailing address, so I can get that book right out to you.
This was so much fun to do. I will be doing more book giveaways from time to time, so keep a lookout on my blog and on my Facebook business page.
For all of you who participated in the book giveaway and didn’t win, I hope you’ll pick up a copy of Kris’ book. There is always something to be learned about our favorite fiber art.
There’s a lot of beauty out there and in the enthusiasm of rug hookers everywhere!
