Cynthia Norwood’s latest book, Primitive Hooked Rugs for the 21st Century [copyright 2015 Stackpole Books / presented by Rug Hooking Magazine] made for a fun book giveaway. There are many primitive hooked rug enthusiasts out there, and lots of them put their name in the dye pot for a chance to win this book.
Many comments were from new rug hookers, those who need some inspiration, those who have rug hooked many years, and some who just love to look at primitive rugs. A great response all around!
I wrote each name on one of my many old and out-of-date business cards and put them in the trusty dye pot. The winning card was pulled out by my husband and witnessed by Beans, the Boston Terrier.
I’m happy to announce that the lucky winner is Brenda, who commented, “After more than 20 years of hooking, I love to continue to learn. We have made a lot of changes in our hooking techniques, but the joy of hooking has never gone away. I would love to have this book to add to my resources. I love seeing old patterns and recreating them with new colors”. Congratulations, Brenda. I will contact you for your mailing address and I’ll get that book right out to you.
I love doing book giveaways and will be doing more of them from time to time, so keep a lookout on my blog and on my Facebook business page [and please give it a Like, while you’re at it if you haven't already done so].
For all of you who participated in the book giveaway and didn’t win, I hope you’ll pick up a copy of Cynthia’s book. There is always something to be learned about our favorite fiber art.
There’s a lot of beauty out there and in the enthusiasm of rug hookers everywhere!
