Maryanne Lincoln’s recently reissued book, Comprehensive Dyeing Guide [copyright 2005 Stackpole Books] was a popular book giveaway. Thanks to everyone for the comments and enthusiasm.
Many comments were from new wool dyers and those intrigued by the idea of creating their own beautifully dyed wool for their future hooked rugs. Maryanne’s book is full of easy to follow instructions. There are obviously many rug hookers who are eager to learn how to dye wool.
Names were written on cards and dropped into my dye pot, where they were stirred and simmered and the winning card was pulled out. The winner is Carolyn Loop, who commented“Thank you for your generous offer”. Congratulations, Carolyn. I will contact you for your mailing address, so I can get that book right out to you.
I enjoy doing book giveaways, so keep a lookout on my blog or on my Facebook business page (and please give it a “Like”, if you haven’t done so already).
For all of you who participated in the book giveaway and didn’t win, go to the Rug Hooking Magazine website here and you can order a copy of Maryanne Lincoln’s Comprehensive Dyeing Guide, while supplies last.
Now that my dye pot is empty once again, it’s time for me to marry some wool for my snowflake mandala project. We have just had a wonderful ten day visit from our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, Lucy, and now it's time for me to pick up a hook and get back to work!
There’s a lot of beauty out there and in your simmering dye pot!
